Scripture reading: “1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, 2 to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month. The Prophet Is Called 4 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” 6 Then said I: “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.” 7 But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. 8 Do not be afraid of their faces, For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord. 9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.” 11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” 12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” 13 And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north.” 14 Then the Lord said to me: “Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land. 15 For behold, I am calling All the families of the kingdoms of the north,” says the Lord; “They shall come and each one set his throne At the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, Against all its walls all around, And against all the cities of Judah. 16 I will utter My judgments Against them concerning all their wickedness, Because they have forsaken Me, Burned incense to other gods, And worshiped the works of their own hands. 17 “Therefore prepare yourself and arise, And speak to them all that I command you. Do not be dismayed before their faces, Lest I dismay you before them. 18 For behold, I have made you this day A fortified city and an iron pillar, And bronze walls against the whole land — Against the kings of Judah, Against its princes, Against its priests, And against the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.”” Jeremiah 1:1-19, NKJV.

Jeremiah was a person who used to talk to God, God called Jeremiah when he was still young but Jeremiah refused and told God that he was still young. God promised him that He will be with him and will lead him, God showed him a house which was on top of the mountain; symbolizing that a house which is on top of the mountain is not hidden. A house that is on top of the mountain can be seen by every person. This is about you and me because everyone is chosen. It is not about Jeremiah only who was chosen; all of us are called.

Do not be afraid, do not have fear and say “I cannot…” (Jer 1:6, NKJV) because God will guide you and show you the way. I believe that this iron pillar which is on the house that is not of the mountain is placed there to strengthen that house. You and I have a pillar which is the Holy Spirit, the one who guide us and shows us the way. That is why I am saying that you and I should not move away from our glory, when we face situations do not go back to the wilderness stay there and see the salvation God will bring to you.

When you are faced with challenges just call the name of God and ask God to help you, do not give up. You were made with a purpose and your purpose can be revealed only if you stay on the mountain and do not go back to the wilderness because God wants to see your commitment. Then God will show you what He wants you to do.

When God says “Stay on the mountain” He is talking about your heart, you need to talk to your heart and let your heart serve God. Do not be afraid but stand firm and listen to what God is saying to you, there will be a lot of things that will scare you and make you feel afraid but what I can tell you is that, do not allow those things to make you depart from God. It doesn’t matter what you are going through but do not allow yourself to step down from your glory.

Stand firm and say that these situations need Jesus and call Him and He will be the solution to what you are going through. Just know that you have the Holy Spirit in you so whatsoever challenges you, don’t let it make you depart from the glory.

Prayer Points: Pastor Ramuhuyu

01. Ask God for forgiveness
“1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. 3 For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.” Isa 59:1-3, NKJV.

I want you to understand why sometimes when you pray there is nothing that you receive. Maybe it has been long you have been asking God to bless you but nothing is happening. Maybe you even fasted, went to the mountain to pray but still nothing is happening. So I just want you to know why this is happening to you.

The bible says it is your inequities that separate you from God`s presence, sometimes when you pray you might think that God is in the same place where you are but find out that in fact He is not there at all. “2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God;…” Isa 59:2, NKJV.

When you have sinned or you have hurt someone it means that your hands are full of blood. “3 For your hands are defiled with blood,…” Isa 59:3, NKJV. I want us to pray this prayer points and remove this veil that is stopping our prayers to reach Jesus.

“Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.” Isa 59:3, NKJV. God doesn’t love gossipers so when you talk to God and you want Him to hear, you need to forsake gossiping and start to pray. It is not all the prayers that when we pray God will hear them or respond to them.

02. Ask God to grow spiritually
“30 He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30, NKJV.

You know Christians of these days like to boost and we like to have the status but God is speaking to us he is saying stop to boost and you must humble yourself and let God to increase and his glory to be magnified and his precious name to be worshiped.

03. Ask God to open doors for our prosperity
“7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens””: Rev 3:7, NKJV.

Sometimes when you pray do not to what people are saying just focus to your God because he is the one holding the key of your prosperity, and when he has opened no one will be able to close and if he close no one will open. The Vail that was preventing God to hear your prayer is removed so you are talking to God face to face.

04. Blessing the man of God
“8 Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 9 “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”” 1 Kings 17:8-9, NKJV.

When the man of God approached this widow she was lacking. If you read further the bible will tell you that she was left with little to eat and was going to die but the man of God asked her to give that very little to him.

“14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.'”” 1 Kings 17:14, NKJV.

The reason why we are suffering is because we are greedy and we don’t want to give, especially to the man of God. That is not what God wants from us. God wants us to give so we need to give first. Sometimes when you don’t give you are preventing good things to come to you.

05. Ask God to give us the grace to finish building this church
“1 Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.” Psalm127:1, NKJV.
